Most journeys start in Devonport once disembarked from the Spirit, and we strongly encourage visitors to “turn right” towards the diversity we have on offer. Get back to nature and enjoy close encounters with our native fauna, including the elusive platypus and Little Penguins or visit a park dedicated to wildlife preservation. Flora is spectacular during Spring, with rows of colourful Tulips and Rhododendrons as far as the eye can see.
From culturally significant ancient rock art in the Tarkine, to seafood in the coastal fishing village of Stanley, the incredible murals in Sheffield, or the snow-tipped heights of Cradle Mountain, this is a region made for adventure all year round.

Just a short drive from Burnie, Wild on West in West Mooreville offers a unique family-friendly adventure. Featuring over 200 giant animal statues, animatronic dinosaurs, live animals, themed zones, and winding gardens, visitors can meet friendly goats, alpacas, and colourful parrots, explore immersive play areas, and capture memorable photos. The site also includes a new mini-golf course and family friendly walk through witches house.
